Tonight's episode is the first of a two-part story and once again it's the increasingly heroic Sergeant Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) who is in the thick of things. Jo hasn't always been an easy character to love but she's becoming a linchpin of the show. It won't come as a huge shock that in this week's case she falls out with her always abrasive ex-colleague from CID, DS Max Carter (Christopher Fox): this pair cross swords as often as a pair of drunken musketeers. The episode wasn't available for preview but it seems Max isn't happy with the way Jo and her team are investigating - and says as much. That interfering commander played by Julie Graham is still around, too, sticking her well-polished oar in, while the aftermath of Punchgate (where Sergeant Stone was suspended for shoving/striking a member of the public) is still leaving a nasty smell in the air.

Didn't they used to rush to resuicitate people?
I feel for Jo, I really do. New officer chucked into the middle of a division, but it's getting... difficult. Also, why is Kirsty now defending Jo to Roger when she stood against 'the management' last week? However, am appreciating the consistency in Nate, Ben and Roger.

 Any minute now and I'll be able to form a coherent statement after the Mickeyness.
I'm enjoying the ep so far. I feel for Jo and Smithy. The scenes with Leon and the mother are very touching.
Also naff off Max! Jo's got more to deal with than you and Mickey should be in bed so stop being a git! :P

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmax :D :D :D Full house tonight
Think we need a new drinking game. Take a sip everytime a character says a cliché. Be drunk by the end of the first half if Jo and Lisa are in
Max and Smithy growling at each other :flail: :flail:

Yep yep! He's being a selfish cock - as usual. And blatantly going to continue shafting his colleagues and that, you can tell by that smug look on his mug. Someone bin Max, please. :D Hope they get him told!
