Since I can't actually play WoW at work, I decided to open a thread here, because the guild website is v. quiet and the official forums are a bit too venemous even for me.

Incidently, those of you who noticed the half-finished gallery update? Blame the Love Is In the Air Festival.

So which chars do you have? Which servers do you play on? PvP or PvE? Alliance or Horde?

Currently my Hunter main is on (EU) Saurfang. The plan is to play one server Alliance and then play Horde on a different one, once I've actually had a bit more practice at not falling into every single stretch of water I come across.

PVE NElf Boomkin, gs 4.9k, dps 5-6k

oh, hang on, I'm not LF Raid :P I've always been a druid, primarily kitty or moonkin. I'm rubbish at pvp (although I have been getting better recently)

And I WTB Undead Warrior/Troll Rogue. Damn these pesky achievements!

They've been having 'latency issues' apparently. I was fine yesterday, but the night before it kept dropping me from the server mid-dungeon run.

I've given up on the Love achievements. Some of them need to be done in Dalaran/Northrend, and I've not gotten the WotLK expansion yet. Bah, who needs Dalaran when you can spend three and a half hours getting lost in the Wailing Caverns instead. :D

I've been playing since.... *checks twitter*... Jan 7th, so just over a month. I avoided it for years after losing about a year of my life to Guild Wars, but the TV ad kept airing over Christmas and I finally broke down and played the free trial. I skipped on WotLK because my computer was under spec until I got a new one last week, so it's waiting til payday now. XD

Started last July, but life and business intervene from time to time. When I get some time, I spend a couple of days simply getting kinda lost in the "story"... Mezorath is my favourite character because I've been able to explore far more of the lands with her.

I have both the top up packs, but have done nothing with them so far.

I had my first proper PvP battle over the weekend. Apparently I managed to get in 63 kills. No idea how, since I seemed to spend most of the time waiting to be rezzed. XD

I'm now sat at work looking up ways into the Horde cities for the Elder quests. Actually managed to get into Ogrimmar for the whole of 5 seconds yesterday morning, heh.

Hyz, you tried the back entrance to Org? You should be able to last more than 5 seconds doing that :P It's from the direction of Azshara, follow the river down and there's a back entrance that's usually sparsely populated with few guards. [If all else fails, the ever-popular go in as early in the morning as possible and run as far/fast as you can before dying, res, restart, always works. Just take off some of your gear to avoid durability bills].

As far as the PVP stuff goes, if you're in a BG and within x range, you get credit for being part of the kill (note, this is calculated differently to killing blows). Hence, I officially have lifetime 2222 kills, but have only killed killed 583.

Tried that entrance last night - naked run with some guildies - and got further. In fact, I fell (quelle surprise) and ended up smack bang in the middle of the busiest part of Ogrimmar. So yeah, got a lot further. :D Tonight I'm actually going to try and go the right way and get the elder. Then it's just Thunderbluff to go, as Under City was suprisingly quiet last night and managed to get the elder with only one incident of fatal zombie molestation.

I did wonder if that might be the case with PvP. Certainly makes more sense then me apparently not sucking as much as I did.

Glad that helped a little! :) And UC is generally fairly quiet, as is TB if you sneak in the dead of night. I would recommend with TB that you plan your route ahead, as it's even more of a corpse run than Orgrimmar, simply because of all the NPCS wandering around in close proximity. (In one section, you will have to move through a small building full of NPCs in order to reach the elder).

Are you planning on doing all of the Lunar Festival achieves?

Thanks for the tip. :)

I'm hoping to do as many as possible, but you need to be level 80 in order to do the whole lot because of the Northrend dungeons, and I'll probably only be reaching 58 tonight. Considering it a practice run for next year. XD
